MaximumTrailerWeightRating:Maximumweightofatrailerthe
vehicleispermittedtotow.Themaximumtrailerweightratingis
determinedbysubtractingthevehiclecurbweightforeach
engine/transmissioncombination,anyrequiredoptionweightfortrailer
towingandtheweightofthedriverfromtheGCWRforthetowing
vehicle.

MaximumTrailerWeight:Maximumweightofatrailertheloaded
vehicle(includingoccupantsandcargo)ispermittedtotow.Itis
determinedbysubtractingtheweightoftheloadedtrailertowing
vehiclefromtheGCWRforthetowingvehicle.
TrailerWeightRange:Specifiedweightrangethatthetrailermust
fallwithinthatrangesfromzerotothemaximumtrailerweightrating.
NOTE:Remembertofigureinthetongueloadofyourloadedtrailer
whenfiguringthetotalweight.
WARNING: DonotexceedtheGVWRortheGAWRspecifiedon
thecertificationlabel,thiscouldaffectvehiclehandlingand
causeanaccident.
Donotusereplacementtireswithlowerloadcarryingcapacities
thantheoriginalsbecausetheymaylowerthevehicle’sGVWR
andGAWRlimitations.Replacementtireswithahigherlimitthan
theoriginalsdonotincreasetheGVWRandGAWRlimitations.
TheSafetyCertificationLabel,foundonthedriver’sdoorpillar,lists
severalimportantvehicleweightratinglimitations.Beforeaddingany
additionalequipment,refertotheselimitations.Ifyouareaddingweight
tothefrontofyourvehicle,(potentiallyincludingweightaddedtothe
cab),theweightaddedshouldnotexceedthefrontaxlereservecapacity
(FARC).Additionalfrontalweightmaybeaddedtothefrontaxlereserve
capacityprovidedyoulimityourpayloadinotherways(i.e.restrictthe
numberofoccupantsoramountofcargocarried).
Youmayaddequipmentthroughoutyourvehicleifthetotalweight
addedisequaltoorlessthanthetotalaxlereservecapacity(TARC)
weight.YoushouldNEVERexceedthetotalaxlereservecapacity.
Alwaysensurethattheweightofoccupants,cargoandequipmentbeing
carriediswithintheweightlimitationsthathavebeenestablishedfor
yourvehicleincludingbothgrossvehicleweightandfrontandreargross
axleweightratinglimits.
