The tie down holes on the cross bar end s shou ld alw ays
be used to tie down the load . Check the strap s frequ ently
to be sure that the load rem ains securely attached .

such as wood panels or surfb oard s, or load s with
large fron tal area should be secu red to both the
fron t and rear of the veh icle.
Travel at red uced speed s and turn corn ers care-
fully when carryin g large or heavy load s on the
roof rack . Win d forces, due to natu ral causes or
nearb y tru ck traffic, can add sudden upward
load s. This is esp ecially tru e on large flat load s
and may resu lt in damage to the cargo or you r
veh icle.
