Replacement Keys
Sentry Key Programming
You can program new keys to the system if you have two
valid sentry keys by perform ing the follow ing proced ure:
NOTE: Only keys that have been program med to the
vehicle electronics can be used to start the vehicle. Once
a Sentry Key has been program med to a vehicle, it can
not be program med to any other vehicle.
1. Cut the additional Sentry Key Transp ond er blank(s) to
match the ignition switch lock cylind er key code.
At the time of purchase, the original owner is provid ed
with a four digit PIN nu mber. This nu mber is requ ired
for dealer rep lacem ent of keys. Duplication of keys may
be perform ed at an authorized dealer or by using the
Custom er Key Program ming proced ure. This proced ure
consists of program ming a blank key to the vehicle
electronics. A blank key is one which has never been
program med.
2. Insert the first valid key into the ignition switch and
turn the ignition switch ON for at least 3 second s but no
longer than 15 second s. Turn the ignition switch OFF and
rem ove the first key.

Insert the second valid key and turn the ignition
switch ON within 15 second s. After ten second s a chim e
will sou nd and the Theft Alarm Light will begin to flash.
Turn the ignition switch OFF and rem ove the second key.
NOTE:
System serviced , brin g all veh icle keys with you to the
dealer.

Insert a blank Sentry Key into the ignition switch and
turn the ignition switch ON within 60 second s. After 10
second s a single chim e will sou nd . The Theft Alarm Light
will stop flashing, turn on for 3 second s; then turn off.
