STARTING AND OPERATING
If the engine has been flood ed, it may start to run, but not
have enou gh power to continu e running when the key is
released . If this occurs, continu e cranking up to 15
second s with the accelerator pedal pushed all the way to
the floor. Release the accelerator pedal and the key once
the engine is running smoothly. Do not oversp eed en-
gine.
ENGINE BLOCK HEATER — IF EQUIPPED
The engine block heater warm s engine coolant and
perm its quicker starts in cold weather. Connect the cord
to a stand ard 110-115 volt AC electrical outlet with a
grou nd ed, three-w ire extension cord .
The engine block heater cord is rou ted und er the hood on
the driver side of the vehicle. It has a rem ovable cap that
is located on the driver side of the Integrated Pow er
Mod ule.
If the engine show s no sign of starting after two 15
second period s of cranking with the accelerator pedal
held to the floor, the “NORMAL STARTING” proced ure
shou ld be rep eated .
WARN ING!
After Startin g
The idle speed will autom atically decrease as the engine
warm s up.
Rem ember to discon nect the cord before drivin g.
Damage to the 110-115 volt electrical cord could
cause electrocu tion .
