Child ren Too Large For Booster Seats
Child ren who are large enou gh to wear the shou lder belt
comfortably, and whose legs are long enou gh to bend
over the front of the seat when their back is against the
seatback, shou ld use the lap/ shou lder belt in a rear seat.
Not all child restraint system s will be installed as we
have described here. Again, carefu lly follow the instru c-
tions that come with the child restraint system .

If the shou lder belt contacts the face or neck, move the
child closer to the center of the vehicle. Never allow a
child to put the shou lder belt und er an arm or behind
their back.
