regu lates the heating and air cond itioning system inclu d-
ing blow er speed , outlet air tem peratu re, and airflow
distribu tion throu gh the variou s outlets within the in-
stru ment panel. Using the ЉTEMPЉ buttons, adjust the
tem peratu re you would like the system to maintain.
When the system is set to you r comfort level, it is not
necessary to change the settings. You will experience the
greatest efficiency by allow ing the system to function
autom atically. The system will operate fully autom ati-
cally in either ЉAUTO HIЉ or ЉAUTO LOЉ. The ЉAUTO
LOЉ setting will limit the maxim um fan speed and shou ld
be used when more quiet operation is desired . Use the
ЉAUTO HIЉ setting when the quickest cool-d own or
warm -up perform ance is desired .

To provid e you with maxim um comfort in the autom atic
mode, during cold start-u ps the blow er fan will rem ain
off and “DELAY” will appear in the display until the
engine warm s up. An estim ate of the time rem aining
until the “DELAY” is complete will appear period ically
in the display. However, the fan will engage immediately
if the defrost mode is selected or by pushing the blow er
switch and manu ally adjusting the fan speed .
This featu re may be disabled using the follow ing proce-
dure:

It is not necessary to move the tem peratu re settings for
cold or hot vehicles. The system autom atically adjusts
the tem peratu re, mode and fan speed to provid e
comfort as quickly as possible.
