The doors will unlock autom atically on vehicles with
power door locks if:

Child Protection Door Lock

The Auto Unlock featu re is enabled ,
To provid e a safer environm ent for small child ren rid ing
in the rear seats, the rear doors are equ ipped with a child
protection door lock system .

the transm ission was in gear and the vehicle speed

the transm ission is in NEUTRAL or PARK,
the driver door is opened (excluding liftgate),
the doors were not previou sly unlocked and
the vehicle speed is 0 mph (0 km/ h).
WARN ING!
Avoid trap ping anyon e in the veh icle in a collision .
Rem ember that the rear doors can only be opened
from the outsid e when the child protection lock s are
engaged .
The Auto Unlock featu re can be enabled or disabled by
perform ing the proced ure in the Electronic Vehicle Infor-
mation Center (EVIC), Custom er Program mable Featu res
section.
