Economy—
Some vehicles may have Supplemental Tire Pressu re
Inform ation for vehicle load s that are less that the maxi-
mum load ed vehicle cond ition. These pressu re cond i-
tions will be found in the “Supplemental Tire Pressu re
Inform ation” section of this manu al.
Improp er inflation pressu res can cause uneven wear
patterns to develop across the tire tread . These abnorm al
wear patterns will red uce tread life resu lting in a need for
earlier tire rep lacem ent. Und erinflation also increases tire
rolling resistance and resu lts in higher fuel consu mption.

Tire Inflation Pressures
The prop er cold tire inflation pressu re for passenger cars
is listed on either the face of the driver’s door or the
driver’s side “B” pillar. For vehicles other than passenger
cars, the cold tire inflation pressu res are listed on either
the “B” pillar, the Certification Label or in the Tire
Inflation Pressu res brochu re in the glove compartm ent.
