positionandtheseatislockedinplaceby
attemptingtopushitforwardand
backward.
WARNING
Donotdrivewiththeseatback
unlocked:
qSeatRecline
Theseatbackplaysanimportantrole
inyourprotectioninavehicle.
Leavingtheseatbackunlockedis
dangerousasitcanallowpassengers
tobeejectedorthrownaroundand
baggagetostrikeoccupantsina
suddenstoporcollision,resultingin
severeinjury.Afteradjustingthe
seatbackatanytime,evenwhenthere
arenootherpassengers,rockthe
seatbacktomakesureitislockedin
place.
WARNING
Donotdrivewiththeseatsreclined:
Sittinginareclinedpositionwhilethe
vehicleismovingisdangerous
becauseyoudon'tgetthefull
protectionfromseatbelts.During
suddenbrakingoracollision,youcan
slideunderthelapbeltandsuffer
seriousinternalinjuries.For
maximumprotection,sitwellbackand
upright.
Tochangetheseatbackangle,lean
forwardslightlywhileraisingthelever.
Thenleanbacktothedesiredpositionand
releasethelever.
Alwayssitinapassengerseatproperly
withtheseatbackuprightandfeeton
thefloor:
Ifyourvehicleisequippedwith
passengerseatweightsensors,sitting
inthepassengerseatimproperlyoutof
positionorwiththeseatbackreclined
toofarwhilethevehicleismovingis
dangerousasitcantakeoffweight
fromtheseatbottomandaffectthe
weightdeterminationofthepassenger
sensingsystem.Asaresultthe
passengerwillnothavethe
supplementaryprotectionoftheair
bagandseatbeltpretensioner,which
couldcauseresultinseriousinjury.
Alwayssituprightagainstyour
seatback,withyourfeetonthefloor.
Makesuretheleverreturnstoitsoriginal
positionandtheseatbackislockedin
placebyattemptingtopushitforwardand
backward.
