HOT:
Ahotengineisdangerous.Ifthe
enginehasbeenrunning,partsofthe
enginecompartmentcanbecomevery
hot.Youcouldbeburned.Carefully
inspecttheenginecoolantinthe
coolantreservoir,butdonotopenit.
NOTE
Changingthecoolantshouldbedone
byanAuthorizedMazdaDealer.
Inspecttheantifreezeprotectionand
coolantlevelinthecoolantreservoirat
leastonceayear―atthebeginningofthe
winterseason―andbeforetraveling
wheretemperaturesmaydropbelow
freezing.
Turnofftheignitionswitchand
makesurethefanisnotrunning
beforeattemptingtoworknearthe
coolingfan:
Workingnearthecoolingfanwhenit
isrunningisdangerous.Thefan
couldcontinuerunningindefinitely
eveniftheenginehasstoppedandthe
enginecompartmenttemperatureis
high.Youcouldbehitbythefanand
seriouslyinjured.
Inspecttheconditionandconnectionsof
allcoolingsystemandheaterhoses.
Replaceanythatareswollenor
deteriorated.
Thecoolantshouldbeatfullinthe
radiatorandbetweentheFandLmarks
onthecoolantreservoirwhentheengine
iscool.
Donotremovethecooling
systemcapwhentheengineand
radiatorarehot:
Whentheengineandradiatorarehot,
scaldingcoolantandsteammayshoot
outunderpressureandcauseserious
injury.
