seatbeltpretensionersystem,thepassengerfrontandsideairbagsandthealsoseatbelt
pretensionersystemisalsodeactivatedandthepassengerairbagdeactivationindicator
lightisilluminatedautomaticallywhenthetotalseatedweightonthepassengerseatisless
than30kg(66lb).
NOTE
HavethepassengerairbagdeactivationswitchinspectedbyanAuthorizedMazda
Dealerifanyoftheseconditionsoccur:
Theindicatorlightdoesnotilluminateforabout6secondswhentheignitionswitchis
l
turnedtotheONposition.
TheindicatorlightdoesnotremainonwhentheignitionswitchisintheONposition
l
andthepassengerairbagdeactivationswitchisintheOFFposition.
TheindicatorremainsonwhentheignitionswitchisintheONpositionandthe
l
passengerairbagdeactivationswitchisintheONposition.
qToDeactivatethePassengerAirBag
Beforedriving,alwaysconfirmthatthepassengerairbagdeactivationswitchisinthe
appropriatepositionaccordingtoyourrequirements(page2-30).
WARNING
Donotleavethekeyinthepassengerairbagdeactivationswitch:
Unintentionaldeactivationofthepassengerairbagisdangerous.Inanaccident,the
passengerwillnotbeproperlyprotected.Seriousinjuriesorevendeathcouldoccur.
Toavoidunintentionaldeactivation,alwaysusethesamekeytooperatethepassenger
airbagdeactivationswitchandtheignitionswitch,thatwayyouwillnotleavethekey
inthepassengerairbagdeactivationswitch.
