WARNING:Alwayssettheparkingbrakefullyandmakesure
thatthegearshiftissecurelylatchedinP(Park).
Theparkingbrakeisnotrecommendedtostopamovingvehicle.
However,ifthenormalbrakesfail,theparkingbrakecanbeusedtostop
yourvehicleinanemergency.Sincetheparkingbrakeappliesonlythe
rearbrakes,thevehicle’sstoppingdistancewillincreasegreatlyandthe
handlingofyourvehiclewillbeadverselyaffected.
Presstheparkingbrakepedal
downwardagaintoreleasethe
parkingbrake.Drivingwiththe
parkingbrakeonwillcausethe
brakestowearoutquicklyand
reducefueleconomy.
Note:Ifthevehicleisdrivenwith
theparkingbrakeapplied,achime
willsound.

aftermarketroofracks,suspension,steeringsystem,tire
constructionand/orwheel/tiresizemaychangethehandling
characteristicsofthevehicleandmayadverselyaffecttheperformance
oftheAdvanceTrac௡system.Inaddition,installinganystereo
loudspeakersmayinterferewithandadverselyaffecttheAdvanceTrac௡
system.Installanyaftermarketstereoloudspeakerasfaraspossible
fromthefrontcenterconsole,thetunnel,andthefrontseatsinorder
tominimizetheriskofinterferingwiththeAdvanceTracsensors.
ReducingtheeffectivenessoftheAdvanceTrac௡systemcouldleadto
anincreasedriskoflossofvehiclecontrol,vehiclerollover,personal
injuryanddeath.
