defythelawsofphysics.It’salwayspossibletolosecontrolofa
vehicleduetoinappropriatedriverinputfortheconditions.Aggressive
drivingonanyroadconditioncancauseyoutolosecontrolofyour
vehicleincreasingtheriskofpersonalinjuryorpropertydamage.
ActivationoftheAdvanceTrac௡systemisanindicationthatatleast
someofthetireshaveexceededtheirabilitytogriptheroad;this
couldreducetheoperator’sabilitytocontrolthevehiclepotentially
resultinginalossofvehiclecontrol,vehiclerollover,personalinjury
anddeath.IfyourAdvanceTrac௡systemactivates,SLOWDOWN.
WARNING:Ifafailurehasbeendetectedwithinthe
AdvanceTrac௡system,theЉslidingcarЉicon
willilluminate
steadily.VerifythattheAdvanceTrac௡systemisnotmanuallydisabled
(pushtheAdvanceTrac௡“Off“buttonlocatedonthecenterofthe
instrumentpanel).IftheЉslidingcarЉicon
stillilluminatessteadily,
havethesystemservicedbyanauthorizeddealerimmediately.
OperatingyourvehiclewithAdvanceTrac௡disabledcouldleadtoan
increasedriskoflossofvehiclecontrol,vehiclerollover,personalinjury
anddeath.
TheAdvanceTrac௡systemprovidesthefollowingstabilityenhancement
featuresforcertaindrivingsituations:

TractionControl(TCS),whichfunctionstohelpavoiddrive-wheel
spinandlossoftraction.
ElectronicStabilityControl(ESC),whichfunctionstohelpavoidskids
orlateralslides
TheAdvanceTrac௡systemautomaticallyenableseachtimetheengineis
started.AllfeaturesoftheAdvanceTrac௡system(TCSandESC)are
activeandmonitorthevehiclefromstart-up.However,thesystemwill
onlyinterveneifthedrivingsituationrequiresit.
TheAdvanceTrac௡systemincludes
anAdvanceTrac௡ЉOffЉbuttonon
thecenteroftheinstrumentpanel,
anda“slidingcar”icon
instrumentcluster.The“slidingcar”
intheinstrumentcluster
inthe
icon
willilluminatetemporarilyduringstart-upaspartofanormalsystem
self-check,orduringdrivingifadrivingsituationcausesthe
