Stopping and securing the  vehicle
1.
Parkonalevelsurface,setthe
parkingbrakeandactivatehazard
flashers.
2.
PlacegearshiftleverinP(Park)
andturnengineoff.
Removingthesparetireandjack
1.
Liftthetrunkcargocover,and
removethewingnutthatsecures
thesparetirebyturningit
counterclockwise.
2.
Liftandremovethesparetire
fromthetrunk.
3.
Removethesecondwingnutthat
securesthejackretentionbracket
byturningitcounterclockwise,
removethejackkitfromthe
vehicle.
4.
Removethejackandthewrench
fromthefeltbag.Folddownthe
wrenchsockettousetoloosenthe
lugnutsandtooperatethejack.
Tirechangeprocedure
WARNING:Whenoneofthefrontwheelsisofftheground,the
transmissionalonewillnotpreventthevehiclefrommovingor
slippingoffthejack,evenifthevehicleisinP(Park).
