MANUAL HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM
(IF EQUIPPED)

Temperatureselection:
Controlsthetemperatureofthe
airflowinthevehicle.
2.
Airflowselections:Controlsthe
directionoftheairflowinthe
vehicle.Seethefollowingforabrief
descriptiononeachcontrolsetting:
MAXA/C:Distributesrecirculated
airthroughtheinstrumentpanel
ventstocoolthevehicle.Thisre-coolingoftheinteriorairismore
economicalandefficient.Recirculatedairmayalsohelpreduce
undesirableodorsfromenteringthevehicle.

Distributesairthroughtheinstrumentpanelvents.
:
Distributesairthroughtheinstrumentpanelventsandfloorvents.
O(OFF):Turnsofftheclimatesystem.Whenthesystemisoff,outside
airispreventedfromenteringthevehicle.

Distributesairthroughthefloorvents.Note:Youmaynoticea
smallamountofairflowingfromthedemisteranddefrostervents.
:
Distributesairthroughthewindshielddefrostervents,demisters
andfloorvents.Thesystemwillautomaticallyprovideoutsideairtohelp
reducewindowfogging.
:
Distributesoutsideairthroughthewindshielddefrosterand
demistervents.Canbeusedtoclearthiniceorfogfromthewindshield.
Toexit selectanothermode.Thesystemwillautomaticallyprovide
outsideairtohelpreducewindowfogging.
3.
Recirculatedair:Presstoactivate/deactivateairrecirculation
inthevehiclecabin.Recirculatedairmayreducetheamountoftimeto
cooldowntheinteriorofthevehicleandmayalsohelpreduceundesired
odorsfromreachingtheinteriorofthevehicle.Recirculatedairengages
automaticallywithselectionofMAXA/Corcanbeengagedmanuallyin
anyotherairflowselectionexcept
(defrost).Recirculationmayturn
offautomaticallyinallairflowselectionsexceptMAXA/C.
Whentheignitionswitchisturnedoffandbackon,theclimatesystem
willreturntotherecirculatedairmodeonlyiftheA/Cbuttonlightis
illuminatedandtheairflowselectionisineither
(panel/floor)mode.
