Underenginemisfireconditions,excessiveexhausttemperatures
coulddamagethecatalyticconverter,thefuelsystem,interior
floorcoveringsorothervehiclecomponents,possiblycausingafire.
Brake system warning
Toconfirmthebrakesystem
warninglightisfunctional,itwill
momentarilyilluminatewhenthe
ignitionisturnedtotheONposition
(alternativelyforsomevehicleswhentheignitionismovedfromtheON
positiontoSTARTposition,thelightwillmomentarilyilluminatepriorto
reachingtheSTARTposition).Italsoilluminatesiftheparkingbrakeis
engaged.Ifthebrakesystemwarninglightdoesnotilluminateas
described,seekserviceimmediately.Illuminationaftertheparkingbrake
isreleasedindicateslowbrakefluidlevelorabrakesystemmalfunction
andthebrakesystemshouldbeservicedimmediatelybyaqualified
technician.

Ifthelightremainsonwhiletheengineisrunning,thisindicates
inadequatehydraulicboosterpressureorreservepumpsystemfailure.
Stopthevehiclesafelyassoonaspossibleandseekserviceimmediately.
