Thislightcomesonwheneitherthe
SETACCELorREScontrolsare
pressed.Itturnsoffwhenthespeed
controlOFFcontrolispressed,the
brakeisappliedortheignitionis
turnedtotheOFFposition.
OVERDRIVE CONTROL
Activating overdrive
(Overdrive)isthenormaldrivepositionforthebestfueleconomy.
Theoverdrivefunctionallowsautomaticupshiftsanddownshiftsthrough
allavailablegears.
Deactivating overdrive
PresstheTransmissionControl
Switch(TCS)locatedontheendof
thegearshiftlever.The
OVERDRIVE
TransmissionControlIndicatorLight
(TCIL)(thewordOFF)will
illuminateontheendofthegearshiftlever.Thetransmissionwilloperate
inallgearsexceptoverdrive.
Toreturntonormaloverdrivemode,
presstheTransmissionControl
OVERDRIVE  OFF
Switchagain.TheTCIL(theword
OFF)willnolongerbeilluminated.
Whenyoushutoffandre-startyourvehicle,thetransmissionwill
automaticallyreturntonormal
(Overdrive)mode.

controlswitchoperationrefertotheAutomaticTransmission
OperationsectionoftheDrivingchapter.
