One time disable
Anytimethesafetybeltisbuckledandthenunbuckledduringan
ignitionONcycle,BeltMinderwillbedisabledforthatignitioncycleonly.
Deactivating/activating the BeltMinder feature
Readsteps1-9thoroughlybeforeproceedingwiththe
deactivation/activationprogrammingprocedure.
TheBeltMinderfeaturecanbedeactivated/activatedbyperformingthe
followingprocedure:
Beforefollowingtheprocedure,makesurethat:
theparkingbrakeisset
thegearshiftisinP(Park)(automatictransmission)
theignitionswitchisintheOFFposition
allvehicledoorsareclosed
thedriverssafetybeltisunbuckled
theparklamps/headlampsareinOFFposition(Ifvehicleisequipped
withAutolamps,thiswillnotaffecttheprocedure.)
Toreducetheriskofinjury,donotdeactivate/activatetheBelt
Minderfeaturewhiledrivingthevehicle.
1.
TurntheignitionswitchtotheRUN(orON)position.(DONOT
STARTTHEENGINE)
2.
Waitatleastoneminuteafterthesafetybeltwarninglightturnsoff.
Steps35mustbecompletedwithin60secondsortheprocedurewill
havetoberepeated.
3.
safetybeltunbuckled.ThiscanbedonebeforeorduringBeltMinder
warningactivation.
Bucklethenunbucklethesafetybeltthreetimes,endingwiththe

Turnontheparklamps/headlamps,turnofftheparklamps/headlamps.
5.
Bucklethenunbucklethesafetybeltthreetimes,endingwiththe
safetybeltunbuckled.
Afterstep5thesafetybeltwarninglightwillbeturnedonforthree
seconds.
6.
Withinsevensecondsofthesafetybeltwarninglightturningoff,
bucklethenunbucklethesafetybelt.
