Cleantheoutsideofthewindshieldorrearwindowwithanon-abrasive
cleanersuchasUltraClearSprayGlassCleaner(E4AZ-19C507–AA),
availablefromyourauthorizedFord,LincolnorMercurydealer.Ifafter
cleaningtheglasssurface,thewatersheetsfromtheglass(e.g.,doesnot
bead),thenthewindowisclean.
Thewindshield,rearwindowandwiperbladesshouldbecleaned
regularly.Wiperbladescanbecleanedwithisopropyl(rubbing)alcohol
orwindshieldwashersolution.Besuretoreplacewiperbladeswhen
theyappearwornordonotfunctionproperly.
WINDOWS AND WIPER BLADES
Thewindshield,rearwindowandwiperbladesshouldbecleaned
regularly.Ifthewiperdoesnotwipeproperly,substancesonthe
windshield,rearwindoworthewiperbladesmaybethecause.These
mayincludehotwaxtreatmentsusedbycommercialcarwashes,tree
sap,orotherorganiccontamination.Tocleantheseitems,pleasefollow
thesetips:

Thewindshieldorrearwindowmaybecleanedwithanon-abrasive
cleanersuchasMotorcraftUltraClearSprayGlassCleaner(ZC-23),
availablefromyourdealer.

Donotuseabrasives,astheymaycausescratches.
Donotusefuel,kerosene,orpaintthinnertocleananyparts.
Wiperbladescanbecleanedwithisopropyl(rubbing)alcoholor
windshieldwashersolution.Besuretoreplacewiperbladeswhenthey
appearwornordonotfunctionproperly.
INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CLUSTER LENS
Cleantheinstrumentpanelwithadampcloth,thendrywithadrycloth.

Avoidcleanersorpolishthatincreasetheglossoftheupperportionof
theinstrumentpanel.Thedullfinishinthisareahelpsprotectthe
driverfromundesirablewindshieldreflection.
Donotusechemicalsolventsorstrongdetergentswhencleaning
thesteeringwheelorinstrumentpaneltoavoidcontaminationof
theairbagsystem.

Becertaintowashorwipeyourhandscleanifyouhavebeenin
contactwithcertainproductssuchasinsectrepellentandsuntan
lotioninordertoavoidpossibledamagetothepaintedsurfaces.
