Temperature extremes
Whenthevehicleisparkedunderdirectsunlightorinanextremelycold
placeforalongperiodoftime,waituntilthecabintemperatureofthe
vehicleisatnormaltemperaturebeforeoperatingthesystem.
High/low temperature sensor circuit

ExcessivelyhighorlowtemperaturesmaycausedamagetotheVCP.
WhenthetemperatureoftheVCPbecomestoohighorlow,the
temperaturesensorcircuitstopsmachineoperation,ejectsthe
cassetteandtheWAITindicatorilluminates.Thelampwillremain
illuminateduntilthesystemhasreturnedtoasafeoperating
temperature.
Humidity and moisture condensation
MoistureintheairwillcondenseintheVCPunderextremelyhumid
conditionsorwhenmovingfromacoldplacetoawarmone.Moisture
condensationonthetapeplaybackheaddrummaydamagethe
videocassetteand/ordrum.Ifmoisturecondensationoccurs,donot
insertavideocassetteintotheplayer.Ifavideocassetteisalreadyinthe
player,removeit.TurntheVCPpowerONtodrythemoisturebefore
insertingavideocassette.Thiscouldtakeanhourormore.
Dew sensor circuit

Underhighmoisture(dewed)conditions,thetapeheadsandcassette
tapemaybedamagediftheVCPisoperated.
