NORMA/C–Usesoutsideairtocoolthevehicle.Itisquieterthan
MAXA/Cbutnotaseconomical.Airflowwillbefromtheinstrument
panelregisters.
VENT–Distributesoutsideairthroughtheinstrumentpanelregisters.
However,theairwillnotbecooledbelowtheoutsidetemperature
becausetheairconditioningdoesnotoperateinthismode.
OFF–Outsideairisshutoutandthefanwillnotoperate.Forshort
periodsoftimeonly,usethismodetopreventundesirableodorsfrom
enteringthevehicle.
FLR–Allowsformaximumheatingbydistributingoutsideairthrough
thefloorducts.However,theairwillnotbecooledbelowtheoutside
temperaturebecausetheairconditioningdoesnotoperateinthis
mode.

MIX–Distributesoutsideairthroughthewindshielddefrosterducts
andthefloorducts.Heatingandairconditioningcapabilitiesare
providedinthismode.Foraddedcustomercomfort,whenthe
temperaturecontrolknobisanywhereinbetweenthefullhotandfull
coldpositions,theairdistributedthroughthefloorductswillbe
slightlywarmerthantheairsenttothewindshielddefrosterducts.If
thetemperatureisabout6°C(43°F)orhigher,theairconditionerwill
automaticallydehumidifytheairtoreducefogging.

(Defrost)–Distributesoutsideairthroughthewindshield
defrosterducts.Itcanbeusedtocleariceorfogfromthewindshield.
Ifthetemperatureisabout6°C(43°F)orhigher,theairconditioner
willautomaticallydehumidifytheairtoreducefogging.
Operating tips

Inhumidweatherconditions,placetheclimatecontrolsystemin
Defrostmodebeforedriving.Thiswillreducefoggingonyour
windshield.Oncethewindshieldhasbeencleared,operatetheclimate
controlsystemasdesired.

conditions,don’tdrivewiththeclimatecontrolsystemintheOFFor
MAXA/Cposition.
