runningorhot.Steamandscaldingliquidfromahotcooling

systemcanburnyoubadly.

Thisgaugeindicatesthetemperatureoftheenginecoolant,notthe

coolantlevel.Ifthecoolantisnotatitsproperlevelthegaugeindication

willnotbeaccurate.Ifthegaugeenterstheredsection,theoil

pressure/enginecoolantandCheckEngine/ServiceEngineSoon

indicatorsilluminate,refertoWhatyoushouldknowaboutfail-safe

coolingintheMaintenanceandspecificationschapter.

Engine oil pressure gauge

Indicatesengineoilpressure.At

normaloperatingtemperature,the

needlewillbeinthenormalrange

(theareabetweenthe“L”and“H”);

iftheneedlegoesbelowthenormal

range,stopthevehicleassoonas

safelypossibleandswitchoffthe

engineimmediately.Checktheoil

level.Addoilifneeded(refertoEngineoilintheMaintenanceand

specificationschapter).Iftheoilleveliscorrect,haveyourvehicle

checkedatyourdealershiporbyaqualifiedtechnician.

Battery voltage gauge

Indicatesbatteryvoltage.Ifthe

pointermovesandstaysoutsidethe

normaloperatingrange,havethe

vehicle’selectricalsystemchecked

assoonaspossible.
