TheE550vehiclesareequippedwithatirethatisanall-steelradial.
All-steelradialtiresutilizesteelcordsinthesidewalls,andalsorequire
increasedinflationpressuresofupto95psi.Assuch,theycannotbe
treatedlikenormallighttrucktires.Tireservice,includingadjustingtire
pressure,mustbeperformedbypersonneltrained,supervisedand
equippedaccordingtoFederalOccupationalSafetyandHealth
Administration(OSHA)regulations.Forexample,duringanyprocedure
involvingtireinflation,thetechnicianorindividualmustutilizearemote
inflationdevice,andinsurethatallpersonsareclearofthetrajectory
area.
WARNINGAninflatedtireandrimcanbeverydangerousif
improperlyused,servicedormaintained.Toreducetheriskof
seriousinjury,neverattempttore-inflateatirewhichhasbeenrunflat
orseriouslyunder-inflatedwithoutfirstremovingthetirefromthe
wheelassemblyforinspection.Donotattempttoaddairtotiresor
replacetiresorwheelswithoutfirsttakingprecautionstoprotect
personsandproperty.
