Thesecuritysystemhelpstoprotect
Withthesystemset,youcanstill
openthetrunkwiththeremote
transmitterwithouttriggeringthe
alarm.Thealarmwillsoundifthe
trunkisopenedwiththetrunk
releasebuttononthedriver’sdoor,
thetrunkreleasehandlebehindthe
trunkpass-throughcover,orthe
emergencytrunkopener.

Thehornsoundsandacombination
ofheadlights,parkinglights,side
markerlightsandtaillightsflashif
someoneattemptstobreakintoyour
vehicleorremovetheradio.This
alarmcontinuesfor2minutes,then
thesystemresets.Toresetan
alarmingsystembeforethe2
minuteshaveelapsed,unlockthe
driver’sdoorwiththekeyorusethe
remotetransmitter.
Thesecuritysystemwillnotsetif
thehood,trunk,oranydoorisnot
fullyclosed.Ifthesystemwillnotset,
checkthedoorandtrunkopen
monitoronthemulti-information
display(seepage68)toseeifthe
doorsandtrunkarefullyclosed.
Sinceitisnotpartofthemonitor
display,manuallycheckthehood.
Oncethesecuritysystemisset,
openinganydoororthehood
withoutusingthekeyortheremote
transmitterwillcausethesystemto
alarm.Italsoalarmsiftheradiois
removedfromthedashboardorthe
wiringiscut.
Thesecuritysystemautomatically
sets15secondsafteryoulockthe
doors,hood,andtrunk.Forthe
systemtoactivate,youmustlockthe
doorsfromtheoutsidewiththekey,
locktab,doorlockswitch,orremote
transmitter.Thesecuritysystem
indicatornexttothedriver’sdoor
lockstartsblinkingimmediatelyto
showyouthesystemissettingitself.
Donotattempttoalterthissystem
oraddotherdevicestoit.
