ToJumpStartYourVehicle:
1.Openthehood,andcheckthe
physicalconditionofthebattery.
Inverycoldweather,checkthe
conditionoftheelectrolyte.Ifit
seemsslushyorlikeice,donottry
jumpstartinguntilitthaws.
Abatterycanexplodeifyoudo
notfollowthecorrectprocedure,
seriouslyinjuringanyone
nearby.
If abatterysitsinextremecold,the
electrolyteinsidecanfreeze.
Attemptingtojumpstartwithafrozen
batterycancauseittorupture.
Keepallsparks,openflames,
andsmokingmaterialsaway
fromthebattery.
Thenumbersintheillustration
showyoutheordertoconnectthe
jumpercables.

accessories:heater,A/C,audio
system,lights,etc.Putthe
transmissioninneutral(M/T)or
Park(A/T),andsettheparking
brake.
Youcannotstartavehiclewithan
automatictransmissionbypushing
orpullingit.
3.Connectonejumpercabletothe
positive(＋)terminalonyour
battery.Connecttheotherendto
thepositive(＋)terminalonthe
boosterbattery.
