menttodetermineiftheproblemcouldrecur.

4 Speed/6 Speed Automatic Transaxle

Theelectronicallycontrolledtransaxleprovidesaprecise

shift schedule. The transaxle electronics are self-

calibrating;therefore,thefirstfewshiftsonanewvehicle

maybesomewhatabrupt.Thisisanormalcondition,and

precisionshiftswilldevelopwithinafewhundredmiles.

Automatic Transaxle Ignition Interlock System

Thissystempreventsthekeyfrombeingremovedunless

theshiftleverisinPARK.Italsopreventsshiftingoutof

PARKunlessthekeyisintheONposition,andthebrake

pedalisapplied.

NOTE: Ifamalfunctionoccurs,thesystemwilltrapthe

keyintheignitionswitchlockcylindertowarnyouthat

thissafetyfeatureisinoperable.Theenginecanbestarted

and stopped, but the key cannot be removed until you

obtainservice.
