TheA/CAirFilterislocatedinthefreshairinletbehind
the glove box. Perform the following procedure to re-
placethefilter:
R-134a air conditioning refrigerant is a hydrofluoro-
carbon (HFC) that is endorsed by the Environmental
ProtectionAgencyandisanozone-savingproduct.How-
ever,themanufacturerrecommendsthatairconditioning
service be performed by authorized dealers or other
servicefacilitiesusingrecoveryandrecyclingequipment.

Openthegloveboxandremoveallcontents.
2. Push in on the sides of the glove box and lower the
door.
NOTE: Use only manufacturer approvedA/C System
Sealers,StopLeakProducts,SealConditioners,Compres-
sorOil,andRefrigerants.
3. Disconnectthegloveboxdoordampenerfromtheslot
on the side of the box. This is done by grasping the
dampenerconnector(ontheoutsideofthebox)andthe
endoftheconnectorpin(ontheinsideofthebox)with
your thumb and forefinger and pulling outward while
lightlyliftingupwardonthedoorwithyourotherhand.
Once disconnected, the dampener will retract under-
neaththeinstrumentpanelifyoureleaseit.
A/C Air Filter — If Equipped
Refertothe“MaintenanceSchedule”inSection8ofthis
manualforthepropermaintenanceintervals.
WARNING!
DonotremovetheA/CAirFilterwhilethebloweris
operatingorpersonalinjurymayresult.
