UNDERSTANDING THE FEATURES OF YOUR  VEHICLE
VoiceTraining
This procedure may be repeated with a new user. The
systemwilladapttothelasttrainedvoiceonly.
Forusersexperiencingdifficultywiththesystemrecog-
nizingtheirvoicecommandsornumbers,theuconnect௡
phoneVoiceTrainingfeaturemaybeused.Toenterthis
training mode, follow one of the two following proce-
dures:
TorestoretheVoiceRecognitionsystemtofactorydefault
settings, enter the Voice Training session via the above
procedureandfollowtheprompts.
VoiceRecognition(VR)
Fromoutsidetheuconnect௡phonemode(e.g.,fromradio
mode):
• Forprovidebestatperformance,least 1⁄2in(1cm)adjustgapthebetweenrearviewthemirroroverheadto
console(ifequipped)andthemirror.

PressandholdtheVOICERECOGNITIONbuttonfor
fivesecondsuntilthesessionbegins,or,

• speakSpeaktonormally,apersonwithoutsittingapausing,fewfeet/metersjust  as youawaywouldfrom
Alwayswaitforthebeepbeforespeaking.
PresstheVOICERECOGNITIONbuttonandsaythe
ЉSetup,VoiceTrainingЉcommand.
Repeat the words and phrases when prompted by the
uconnect௡ phone. For best results, the Voice Training
sessionshouldbecompletedwhenthevehicleisparked
with the engine running, all windows closed, and the
blowerfanswitchedoff.
