The Vehicle SecurityAlarm is designed to protect your
vehicle; however, you can create conditions where the
VehicleSecurityAlarmwillgiveyouafalsealarm.Ifthe
previouslydescribedarmingsequencehasoccurred,the
Vehicle Security Alarm will arm regardless of whether
youareinsideoroutsidethevehicle.Ifyouremaininside
thevehicleandopenadoor,thealarmwillsound.Ifthis
occurs,disarmtheVehicleSecurityAlarm.

NOTE:
For added security, whenever the Security
Alarm is armed, the HomeLink/Garage Door Opener
(ifequipped)isdisabledaswell.
To Disarm the System
EitherpresstheUNLOCKbuttonontheRKEtransmitter
or insert a valid Sentry Key into the ignition lock
cylinderandturnthekeytotheONposition.
TamperAlert
IfsomethinghastriggeredtheVehicleSecurityAlarmin
yourabsence,thehornwillsoundthreetimeswhenyou
unlockthedoors.Checkthevehiclefortampering.
NOTE:
•
Unlockingthedoorswiththemanualdoorlockplung-
ersorthedriver’sdoorlockcylinderwillnotdisarm
theVehicleSecurityAlarm.
ILLUMINATED ENTRY SYSTEM
TheinteriorlightswillturnonwhenyouusetheRemote
KeylessEntry(RKE)transmitteroropenadoor.

WhentheVehicleSecurityAlarmisarmed,theinterior
powerdoorlockswitcheswillnotunlockthedoors.
This feature also turns on the approach lighting (if so
equipped).Fordetails,referto“IlluminationApproach,”
