system has up to three operating modes: “ESP On”
“PartialOff,”and“FullOff.”

Range
The “Partial Off” mode is intended for driving in deep
snow,sand,orgravel.Thismoderaisesthethresholdfor
TCS and ESP activation, which allows for more wheel
spinthanwhatESPnormallyallows.
ESPOn—Two-WheelDriveVehiclesandFour-Wheel
DriveVehiclesin2WDand4WDHighRange
ThisisthenormaloperatingmodeforESPwhenoperat-
ingatwo-wheeldrivevehicle.Itisalsothenormalmode
foroperatingafour-wheeldrivevehiclein2WDor4WD
HIGHrange.TheESPsystemwillbein“ESPOn”mode
whenever the vehicle is started or the transfer case (if
equipped)isshiftedoutof4WDLOWrange.Thismode
should be used for most driving situations. ESPshould
onlybeturnedto“PartialOff”or“FullOff”forspecific
reasonsasnoted.Referto“PartialOff”andto“FullOff”
foradditionalinformation.
The“ESPOFF”buttonislocatedinthelowerswitchbank
below the climate control. To enter the “Partial Off”
mode, momentarily depress the “ESP OFF” button and
the ЉESP/TCS Indicator Light” will illuminate. To turn
the ESP on again, momentarily depress the ЉESP OFFЉ
buttonandtheЉESP/TCSIndicatorLight”willturnoff.
Thiswillrestorethenormal“ESPOn”modeofoperation.
