Cargo tie-downs are not safe anchors for a child

seat tether strap. In a sudden stop or collision, a

tie-downcouldpulllooseandallowthechildseat

tocomeloose.Achildcouldbebadlyinjured.Use

onlytheanchorsprovidedforchildseattethers.

Tohelpprotectagainstpersonalinjury,passengers

should not be seated in the rear cargo area. The

rear cargo space is intended for load carrying

purposesonly,notforpassengers,whoshouldsit

inseatsanduseseatbelts.

Theweightandpositionofcargoandpassengerscan

change the vehicle center of gravity and vehicle

handling. To avoid loss of control resulting in per-

sonalinjury,followtheseguidelinesforloadingyour

vehicle:

• Do_describednot carry_ontheloads_labelthat_attachedexceed_tothe_theleftload_doorlimits_or

leftdoorcenterpillar.

• _heavierAlwaysplace_objectscargo_asevenly_{low and}onthe_as farcargo_forwardfloor.Put_as

possible.

Placeasmuchcargoaspossibleinfrontoftherear

axle. Too much weight or improperly placed

weightoverorbehindtherearaxlecancausethe

vehicletosway.
