THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE

Thisfeatureactivatestheheadlightsforupto90seconds
when the doors are unlocked with the RKE transmitter.
The time for this feature is programmable on vehicles
equippedwiththeElectronicVehicleInformationCenter
(EVIC). For details, refer to “Illumination Approach,”
under“PersonalSettings(Customer-ProgrammableFea-
tures),” under “Electronic Vehicle Information Center
(EVIC)”inSection4.
Thisfeaturewillcausethehorntochirpwhenthedoors
arelockedwiththeRKEtransmitter.Thisfeaturecanbe
turned on or turned off. To change the current setting,
proceedasfollows:

For vehicles equipped with the Electronic Vehicle
InformationCenter(EVIC),referto“SoundHornwith
Remote
Key
Lock,”
under
“Personal
Settings
(Customer-Programmable Features),” under “Elec-
tronicVehicleInformationCenter(EVIC)”inSection4.
To Lock the Doors and Liftgate
PressandreleasetheLOCKbuttonontheRKEtransmit-
tertolockalldoorsandtheliftgate.Theturnsignallights
willflashandthehornwillchirptoacknowledgethelock
signal.

ForvehiclesnotequippedwiththeEVIC,performthe
followingsteps:
1. Press the LOCK button on a programmed (i.e., func-
tional) RKE transmitter for at least 4 seconds, but no
longer than 10 seconds. Then, press the PANIC button
whilestillholdingtheLOCKbutton.

Releasebothbuttonsatthesametime.
