sound.Thisindicatestheseatbeltisnowintheautomaticlocking
mode.
How to disengage the automatic locking mode
Disconnectthecombinationlap/shoulderbeltandallowittoretract
completelytodisengagetheautomaticlockingmodeandactivatethe
vehiclesensitive(emergency)lockingmode.
Iftheseatbeltisnotcomingoutoftheretractorwhenitlookstobe
fullyretracted,checktoseeifitmightstillbeattachedtothesideofthe
vehiclebythesnapsdesignedtokeepitoutofthewaywhenyoulast
puttherearseatintocargoconfiguration.RefertoReturningtherear
seatstouprightpositioninthischapter.
WARNING:Afteranyvehiclecollision,theseatbeltsystemsat
allseatingpositions(exceptthedriverposition,whichdoesn’t
havethisfeature)mustbecheckedbyanauthorizeddealertoverify
thattheautomaticlockingretractorfeatureforchildseatsisstill
functioningproperly.Inaddition,allseatbeltsshouldbecheckedfor
properfunction.
WARNING:BELTANDRETRACTORASSEMBLYMUSTBE
REPLACEDiftheseatbeltassembly“automaticlocking
retractor”featureoranyotherseatbeltfunctionisnotoperating
properlywhencheckedaccordingtotheproceduresinWorkshop
Manual.FailuretoreplacetheBeltandRetractorassemblycould
increasetheriskofinjuryincollisions.
