WARNING:Trailerswaycontroldoesnotpreventatrailerfrom
swaying,itmitigatestheswayfromincreasingonceithas
occurred.TSCcannotstopalltrailersfromswaying.Ifyouare
experiencingtrailersway,itislikelythatthetrailerisimproperly
loadedforthecorrecttongueweightorthespeedofthevehicleand
traileristoohigh.Pullthevehicle-trailerovertoasafelocationto
checkthetrailerweightdistributionandtongueloadandreducespeed
toasafelevelwhiletowing.Iftrailerswayisexperienced,SLOW
DOWN.Alwaysusecautionwhentowingatrailerandfollowthe
tongueweightrecommendations.RefertotheTrailertowingsection
intheTiresWheelsandLoadingchapterofthisowner’smanual
formoreinformationontowingatrailerwithyourvehicle.
DuringTSCeventsthe
iconintheinstrumentclusterwillflash
momentarily.Insomecaseswhentrailerswayisdetected,thevehicle
speedistoohighandmaybeatoraboveaspeedatwhichtrailersway
willgrowcontinuously.Thismaycausethesystemtoactivatemultiple
times,causingagradualreductioninspeed.
DisablingTrailerSwayControl(TSC
Trailerswaycontrolcanbedisabledduringanykeycycle.Pressingand
holdingtheESCbuttonformorethanfivesecondswilldisabletheTSC
featureandthe
iconwillflashmomentarilyandthenilluminatesolid
forthatignitioncycle.Trailerswaycontrolcanbere-enabledby
momentarilypressingtheESCbutton.Trailerswaycontrolwillalsobe
re-enabledateachnewkeycycle.
WARNING:Turningofftrailerswaycontrolincreasestheriskof
lossofvehiclecontrol,seriousinjury,ordeath.Mazdadoesnot
recommenddisablingthisfeatureexceptinsituationswherespeed
reductionmaybedetrimental(e.g.,hillclimbing),thedriverhas
significanttrailertowingexperience,andcancontroltrailerswayand
maintainsafeoperation.
