locatedintherightreartrimpanelwhichisusedtostoresmallitems
andmayhavetheEasyFuel™whiteplasticfunnelattachedonthe
insideoftheaccessdoor.Makesuretheaccessdoorissecuredsoit
doesnotrattlewhenyoudrive.
ROOF RACK SYSTEM (IF EQUIPPED)
Loadsshouldneverbeplaceddirectlyontheroofpanel.Forproper
functionoftheroofracksystem,loadsmustbeplaceddirectlyon
crossbarsaffixedtotheroofracksiderails.Yourvehiclemaybe
equippedwithfactory-installedcrossbars.MazdaGenuineAccessory
crossbars,designedspecificallyforyourvehicle,arealsorecommended
forusewithyourroofracksystem.
Thevehicle’sroofpanelisNOTdesignedtodirectlycarryaload.The
maximumrecommendedloadis100lb(45kg),evenlydistributed
onthecrossbars.Ensurethattheloadissecurelyfastened.Whenthe
railsystemisloaded,checkthetightnessoftheload,includingthe
thumbwheelsbeforedrivingandateachfuelstop.
WARNING:Whenloadingtheroofrailcrossbars,itis
recommendedtoevenlydistributetheload,aswellasmaintaina
lowcenterofgravity.Loadedvehicles,withhighercentersofgravity,
mayhandledifferentlythanunloadedvehicles.Extraprecautions,such
asslowerspeedsandincreasedstoppingdistance,shouldbetaken
whendrivingaheavilyloadedvehicle.
To adjust the cross-bar (if equipped) position:

Loosenthethumbwheelatboth
endsofthecross-bar(both
cross-barsareadjustable).

Slidethecross-bartothe
desiredlocation.
Tightenthethumbwheelatboth
endsofthecross-bar.
