immediatelytoanauthorizedMazdadealer.Askthefrontseatoccupant
tositinarearseatuntiltheairbagsystemifcheckedbytheauthorized
MazdaDealer.
Ifitisnecessarytomodifyanadvancedfrontairbagsystemto
accommodateapersonwithdisabilities,contacttheMazdaCustomer
RelationshipCenteratthephonenumbershownintheCustomer
AssistancesectionofthisOwner’sManual.
WARNING:Anyalteration/modificationtothefrontpassenger
seatmayaffecttheperformanceofthefrontpassengersensing
system.
Determining if the system is operational
TheSRSusesareadinesslightintheinstrumentclusteroratoneto
indicatetheconditionofthesystem.RefertotheAirbagreadiness
sectionintheInstrumentClusterchapter.Routinemaintenanceofthe
airbagisnotrequired.
Amalfunctionwiththesystemisindicatedbyoneormoreofthe
following:

Thereadinesslightwilleither
flashorstaylit.
Thereadinesslightwillnot
illuminateimmediatelyafter
ignitionisturnedon.

Aseriesoffivebeepsoundswillbeheard.Thetonepatternwill
repeatperiodicallyuntiltheproblemand/orlightarerepaired.
Ifanyofthesethingshappen,evenintermittently,havetheSRSserviced
atyourauthorizedMazdadealershipimmediately.
WARNING:Unlessserviced,thesystemmaynotfunction
properlyintheeventofacollision.
