Whenthebatteryisdisconnectedoranewbatteryisinstalled,the
automatictransmissionmustrelearnitsshiftstrategy.Asaresult,the
transmissionmayhavefirmand/orsoftshifts.Thisoperationis
considerednormalandwillnotaffectfunctionordurabilityofthe
transmission.Overtime,theadaptivelearningprocesswillfullyupdate
transmissionoperation.

Useonlya12–voltsupplytostartyourvehicle.
Donotdisconnectthebatteryofthedisabledvehicleasthiscould
damagethevehicle’selectricalsystem.

Parktheboostervehicleclosetothehoodofthedisabledvehicle
makingsurethetwovehiclesdonottouch.Settheparkingbrakeon
bothvehiclesandstayclearoftheenginecoolingfanandother
movingparts.

Checkallbatteryterminalsandremoveanyexcessivecorrosion
beforeyouattachthebatterycables.Ensurethatventcapsaretight
andlevel.
Turntheheaterfanoninbothvehiclestoprotectfromanyelectrical
surges.Turnallotheraccessoriesoff.

Connectthepositive(+)jumpercabletothepositive(+)terminalof
thedischargedbattery.
