Driving
IftheTCSisactivatedexcessivelyinashortperiodoftime,thebraking
portionofthesystemmaybecometemporarilydisabledtoallowthe
brakestocooldown.Inthissituation,TCSwilluseonlyenginepower
reductionortransfertohelpcontrolthewheelsfromover-spinning.
Whenthebrakeshavecooleddown,thesystemwillregainallfeatures.
Anti-lockbraking,RSC,andDSCarenotaffectedbythisconditionand
willcontinuetofunctionduringthecool-downperiod.
Theenginetractioncontrolandbraketractioncontrolsystemmaybe
deactivatedincertainsituations.SeetheSwitchingoffelectronic
stabilitycontrolsection.
DynamicStabilityControl(DSC)
Dynamicstabilitycontrol(DSC)mayenhanceyourvehicle’sdirectional
stabilityduringadversemaneuvers,forexamplewhencorneringseverely
oravoidingobjectsintheroadway.DSCoperatesbyapplyingbrakesto
oneormoreofthewheelsindividuallyand,ifnecessary,reducingengine
powerifthesystemdetectsthatthevehicleisabouttoskidorslide
laterally.
