Ifseatmovementstopsunexpectedly
duringadjustment,checkfor,and
remove,anyobstructions.

Sitinanuprightpositionwiththebaseof
yourspineasfarbackaspossible.To
achieveoptimumbenefitoftheseatbeltin
theeventofanaccident,donotreclinethe
seatexcessively.
Onceanyobstructionshavebeenremoved,the
seatadjustmentmechanismcanberesetas
follows.

Donotmovethedriver'sseattoocloseto
thesteeringwheel.Ideally,aminimum
distanceof254mm(10inches)is
Operatethebuttonagaintocontinuethestalled
adjustmentandholdinthatpositionfor2
seconds.Whenthemovementresumes,hold
thebuttonuntiltheendoftravelinthat
directionhasbeenreached.Theseatposition
cannowbecarriedout,asnormal.

theheadrestraintisthesameheightasthe
topofthehead.

Positiontheseatbeltsothatitismidway
betweenyourneckandyourshoulder.Fit
thestraptightlyacrossyourhips;not
acrossyourstomach.
SITTINGINTHECORRECTPOSITION
Makesurethatyourdrivingpositionis
comfortableandenablesyoutomaintainfull
controlofthevehicle.
DRIVINGPOSITIONMEMORY
Onceyouhaveadjustedthepower-operated
driver'sseatandexteriormirrors(see45,
EXTERIORMIRRORS)thevehiclecan
memorisethesesettingsforfutureuse.
Thedriverandfrontseatpassenger
mustnotridewiththeseatfully
reclined.
Donotadjusttheseatwhilethe
vehicleismoving.
