Starting the engine
SWITCHINGONTHEIGNITION
KEYLESSSTARTBACKUP
Ifthevehiclehasbeenunlockedusingthe
emergencykeyblade,ortheSmartkeyisnot
detectedbythevehicle,itwillbenecessaryto
usetheKeylessstartbackuptodisarmthe
alarmandstarttheengine.
TheKeylessstartbackupcanonlybeused
whenthemessageSmartKeyNotFound-
RefertoHandbookisdisplayedintheMessage
centre.
Toswitchontheignitionwithoutstartingthe
engine:

PositiontheSmartkeyagainstthe
undersideofthesteeringcolumncover
withthebuttonsfacingdownwards.

Makesurethebrakepedalisnotpressed
andthatavalidSmartkeyisinsidethe
vehicle.
Automatictransmission:Firmlypressthe
brakepedal.

PressandholdtheengineSTART/STOP
buttonuntilthewarninglampsilluminate.
Manualtransmission:Firmlypressthe
clutchpedal.
ReleasetheengineSTART/STOPbutton.
Ifthebrakepedalisappliedwhenthe
engineSTART/STOPbuttonispressed,
theenginewillstart.

PressandreleasetheengineSTART/STOP
button.
Oncetheenginehasstarted,thefootpedalcan
bereleasedifitissafetodoso.
ROLLINGRE-START
Arollingre-startcanbeinitiatedbyselecting
Neutral(N)andpressingtheengine
START/STOPbutton.
IftheSmartkeyisnotrecognised,orthe
enginestillfailstostart,consulta
Dealer/AuthorisedRepairer.
