Toopen,pushupwardsonthetextured
partofthehandle.Slidetheblindinto
thepanelbetweenthesunroofandthe
headlining.
Note:ThesunroofAnti-trapmechanismworks
differentlyanddoesnotrequireresetif
activated.See157,SUNROOFRESET.
Toclosethesunblind,pullacrossthe
apertureuntilitlocksinplace.
WINDOWANTI-TRAPPROTECTION
TheAnti-trapmechanismdoesnot
operatewhenclosingthesunrooffrom
thetiltedposition.Thesunroofcan
causeseriousinjuryshouldabody
partbecometrapped.Alwaysmake
surethesunroofisfreefrom
obstructionsbeforeclosing.
Beforeclosingawindoworthe
sunroof,makesurenooccupantshave
anypartoftheirbodyinaposition
whereitcouldbetrapped.Evenwith
anAnti-trapsystem,deathorserious
injurycouldoccur.
Anti-trapprotectionwillstopwindowor
sunroofmovementifanobstructionor
resistanceisdetected.Checkthewindowor
sunroofanditsaperture,andremoveany
obstructions(forexample,ice,etc.).
Ifitisstillnecessarytoraisethewindowor
closethesunroof,theoverrideprocedureisas
follows:
1.
Attempttoclosethewindow/sunroof,
Anti-trapwillpreventclosureandlowerthe
window/openthesunroofslightly.
2.
Within10seconds,attempttoraisethe
window/closethesunroofagain,Anti-trap
willpreventclosureandlowerthe
window/openthesunroofslightly.
3.
Attempttoclosethewindow/sunrooffora
thirdtime,thistimeholdtheswitchinthe
closeposition.Holduntilclosed.
