Fuel and refuelling
Donotoperatetheauxiliaryheater
whenrefuellingthevehicle.Doingso
maycausefuelvapourstocombust,
causingafire/explosion.
Checkthefuelpumpinformation
carefully,tomakesureyouareputting
thecorrectfuelintothevehicle.
Ifthevehicleisfilledwithincorrectfuel,
itisessentialthatyouseekqualified
assistancebeforeyoustarttheengine.
Fillingstationpumpsareequippedwith
automaticcut-offsensingtoavoidfuelspillage.
Fillthetankuntilthefillernozzleautomatically
cutsoffthesupply.Donotattempttofillthe
tankbeyondthispoint.
Note:Fillingstationpumpsusedfordiesel
commercialvehicles,deliverfuelatahigher
ratethannormal.Thehigherfillratecancause
prematurecut-offandmaycausefuelspillage;
therefore,itisrecommendedthatonly
standardlightvehiclepumpsareused.
Thefuelfillerflapislocatedontherightsideof
thevehicle,attherear.

Makesurethevehicleisfullyunlocked,and
presstheleftsideoftheflaptoopen.
Whenthemisfuellingdeviceis
activated,itmaycausefueltobe
dischargedfromthefillerneck.
Opentheflapfullyandtwistthecap
anticlockwisetoundo.
Usetheretainingcliptokeepthefillercap
outofthewaywhilefuelling.
Note:Itisthedriver’sresponsibilitytofillthe
vehiclewiththecorrectfuel.Thedieselmisfuel
protectiondeviceonlyreducestheriskoffilling
thevehiclewiththeincorrectfuel.
FUELFILLER
Whenrefuelling,makesureallofthe
Dieselenginevehiclesinsomemarketsare
equippedwithamisfuellingprotectiondevice,
incorporatedintothefuelfillerneck.
windows,doors,andthesunroofare
fullyclosed,particularlyifyoung
childrenoranimalsareinthevehicle.
Ifthenarrowfillernozzlefittedtopumps
deliveringunleadedpetrolisfullyinsertedinto
thefillerneck,themisfuelprotectiondevicewill
activate.
Donotattempttofillthetanktoits
maximumcapacity.Ifthevehicleisto
beparkedonaslope,indirect
sunlight,orhighambient
temperature,expansionofthefuel
couldcausespillage.
Note:Thedieselmisfuellingprotectiondevice
maynotactivateifanunleadedpetrolnozzleis
onlypartiallyinserted.
