isinmotion.
NeverselectReverse(R)whilethe
vehicleisinforwardmotion.
Neverselectaforwardgearwhilethe
vehicleisinrearwardmotion.
Donotrevtheengineorallowittorun
abovenormalidlespeed,while
selectingDorR,orwhilethevehicleis
stationarywithanygearselected.
TRANSMISSIONFAULT
Intheeventthatthetransmissiondevelopsa
fault,awarningmessagemaybedisplayedin
theMessagecentreandonlylimitedgearsmay
becomeavailable.Youshouldseekqualified
assistanceimmediately.
Donotallowthevehicletoremain
stationaryforanylengthoftime,witha
gearselectedandtheenginerunning.
AlwaysselectPorNeutral(N)ifthe
engineistoidleforaprolongedperiod.
MANUALTRANSMISSION
MANUALGEARSELECTION
SelectionofReverse(R)gearis
preventedwhenthevehicleistravelling
inexcessof24km/h(15mph).Never
attempttoengageRgearwhilethe
vehicleisinforwardmotion.Thismay
resultinserioustransmissiondamage
andcostlyrepairs.
IfCommandShift™isselected,1stgearmust
beusedformovingofffromstationary.
ToreturntoManual/Sport(M/S)modeafter
CommandShift™hasbeenselected,movethe
gearselectorintotheDrive(D)position,then
backtoM/Smode.
TRANSMISSIONCOMMANDSHIFTSELECTED
willappearintheMessagecentrewhenthe
transmissionisinCommandShiftmode.
Note:Inordertoprotecttheengine,the
transmissionwillautomaticallychangeupto
preventover-revvingordowniftheengineis
labouring.
