Selecting’High’or’Low’range
TomakethechangebetweenHIGHandLOW,
thevehiclemustbestationary.
1.
Withthevehiclestationaryandthebrakes
applied,depresstheclutchandselect
neutral.
2.
Pressthe’Hi/Lo’switch-the’Hi/Lo’
switchindicatorlightandtransfergearbox
warninglight(intheinstrumentpanel)
startflashing.
MANUALTRANSMISSION
Manualtransmissionvehiclesareequipped
withafivespeedmaingearboxanda
two-speedtransferbox.Byusingthemain
gearboxincombinationwiththetransfer
gears,tenforwardandtworeversegearratios
areavailable.
3. Whenthechangeiscomplete,bothlights
extinguish.Ifhighrangehasbeen
selected,themessagecentredisplays
’
lowrangehasbeenselected,themessage
centrebrieflydisplays’LOW’,afterwhich
HIGH’momentarily,thenextinguishes.If

Thegearpositionsforthemaingearboxare
shownonthegearleverknob.Notethatwhen
themaingearboxisinneutral,thegearlever
isspring-loadedtoautomaticallyalign
betweenthirdandfourthgearpositions.

Thetransfergearboxisoperatedbypressing
the’Hi/Lo’switch(illustrated).
DONOTrushthetransfergearchange.
DONOTreleasetheclutchormovethegear
leveruntilthe’Hi/Lo’indicatorlightandthe
transfergearboxwarninglightstopflashing.

dry,levelterrain.
