nutshalfaturnanti-clockwise(see

Raisethevehicleuntilthetyreisclearof
thegroundandremovethewheelnuts
andwheel(DONOTdamagethesurfaceof
alloywheelsbyplacingthemfacedownon
theroad).
•
Useanapprovedanti-seizecompoundto
treatthewheel-mountingspigotto
minimisethetendencyforadhesion
betweenthewheelandthespigot.Ensure
thatnooilorcompoundcomesinto
contactwiththebrakecomponents.If,due
toanemergencysituation,thistreatment
isnotpracticable;refitthesparewheelfor
thetimebeing,butremoveandtreatthe
wheelattheearliestopportunity.
Changingawheel
Beforeraisingthevehicle,ensurethatallthe
precautionslistedatthebeginningofthis
sectionhavebeenobserved.
Also,ensurethatthewheelchocksare
correctlypositioned(asdescribedpreviously)
andthattheairsuspensionsystemis’frozen’
atStandardorHighrideheight.

Fitthesparewheelandlightlytightenthe
wheelnuts,ensuringtheyarefirmly
seated.DONOTfullytightenwhilstthe
tyreisclearoftheground.

Topreventanyaccidentalchangeintheride
heightorautomaticlevellingofthe
WARNING
Whenfittingawheel,ensurethatthemating
facesofthehubandwheelarecleanand
freefromrust-anaccumulationofdirtor
rustcouldcausethewheelnutstobecome
looseandresultinanaccident.

remaininhibitedduringtheWHOLEwheel
changingprocess-toachievethis,ALWAYS
removethekeyfromthestarterswitchand
ensurethatthetailgateremainsopenand
thehazardlightsareoperatingthroughout.
