Topreventpersonalinjury,beforejacking
thevehicletheairsuspensionsystemmust
be’frozen’-thiswillpreventthesuspension
fromself-levellingortherideheightfrom
changingwhilethevehicleissupportedby
thewheelchangingjack.
Beforeraisingthevehicle,itisESSENTIAL
tochockoneoftheroadwheels;the
handbrakeactsonthetransmission,noton
therearwheels,andthereforemaynothold
thevehiclewhenraised.
Ifpossible,positionthevehiclesonlevel
ground,chockingbothsidesofthewheel
diagonallyoppositetheonetoberemoved.
Tofreezethesuspension:

Beforefreezingthesuspension,ensure
thateitherStandardorHighrideheightare
engaged-thiswillprovidesufficientspace
beneaththevehicletolocateandoperate
thejack.
Ifjackingthevehicleonaslopeis
unavoidable,placethechocksonthedownhill
sideofthetwooppositewheels.
Thewheelchocksarestowedwiththejack,
jacklever,wheelbraceandsteelsparewheel
beneaththeloadspacefloor.

Openthetailgate
Switchonthehazardwarninglights
ThehazardwarninglightsMUSTremain
flashingandthetailgateopenTHROUGHOUT
THEWHOLEwheelchangingprocess.
IMPORTANTINFORMATION
Beforejackingthevehiclealwaysobserve
thefollowingprecautions!

Parkyourvehicleawayfromthe
thoroughfare,andmakeyour
passengerswaitinasafearea
AWAYfromthevehicle.

Applythehandbrakeandengage
firstgear(select’P’forautomatic
gearboxes)inLoworHighrange.
•

Ensuretheairsuspensionsystemis
frozen,andremovethestarterkey.
NEVERjackthevehiclewith
passengersinside,orwithacaravan
ortrailerconnected!
Usingthewheelchocks

NEVERworkbeneaththevehicle
withthejackastheonlymeansof
support.Thejackisdesignedfor
wheelchangingonly!
