Careofthejack
Replacingthesparewheel
Preferablycleananddrythewheelbefore
stowingitinthevehicle.
Examinethejackoccasionally;cleanand
greasethemovingparts,particularlytheram,
topreventcorrosion.
Laythewebbingflatacrossthelowertailgate
andplacethewheelfacedownwiththerear
edgeofthetyreinlinewiththemarkonthe
webbing.
Toavoidcontamination,thejackshould
alwaysbestowedinitsfullyclosedposition.
Wheelcentrecap
Afterfittingthesparewheel,itwillbe
necessarytoremovethecentrecapfromthe
replacedroadwheelinordertostowthe
wheelinthesparewheelcompartment.
Graspthewebbingloop,raisethewheelfrom
thetailgate,andlowerintoposition,thenfit
andtightenthewheelsecuringnut.
Usingasuitablebluntimplement(thehandle
ofalargescrewdriver,forexample)applylight
pressuretotherearofthecap.Usehand
pressureonlytoreplacethecap.
WARNING
Afterwheelchangingalwayssecuretools,
chocks,jackandsparewheelintheircorrect
storagepositions.
