DONOTrelyonthehandbrakealonetohold
thevehiclestationaryuntilthetransmission
hasthoroughlydriedout;inthemeantime,
usewheelchocksorleavethevehicleparked
ingear.
Thebibspoilerisintwopartsandisattached
totheundersideofthefrontbumperbysix
springclipsandeightplasticrivets.
Removeanyprotectivecoveringfrominfront
oftheradiatorgrille.
Toremove:
Usingascrewdriver,removetheinnerlocking
pinsfromthestuds,thenremovethestuds.
Ifthewaterwasparticularlymuddy,remove
anyblockages(mudandleaves)fromthe
radiatorandoilcooler(behindspoileronleft
handside)toreducetheriskofoverheating.
Slidethespringclipsoffthebibspoiler,then
separatethetwohalvesofthespoiler.
Storeallpartsinasuitablecontainerpending
refitment.
Ifdeepwaterisregularlynegotiated,checkthe
transmissionoilsforsignsofwater
contamination;contaminatedoilcanbe
identifiedthroughits’milky’appearance.In
addition,checktheairfilterelementforwater
ingress,andreplaceifwet.
Torefit:
Placeonehalfofthebibspoileragainstthe
undersideofthefrontbumper,installfour
studsandfitthelockingpinsandthreespring
clips.
Vehiclesrequiredtoundergofrequentordeep
wadingconditionswillrequiremorefrequent
servicing.See’Ownermaintenance’and
contactaLandRoverdealerforadvice.
Engagetheotherhalfofthebibspoilerwith
thefirsthalf,thenfittheremainingstudsand
springclips,ensuringthatthelockingpinsare
fittedtothestuds.
Ifsaltwaterisfrequentlynegotiated,
thoroughlywashtheunderbodycomponents
andexposedbodypanels,withfreshwater.
