reached,orifadrypatchisencountered,the
wheelswillfindtractionandcausethevehicle
tosuddenlyveertotheleftorright.

Beforecrossingaslopealwaysobservethe
followingprecautions:

Checkthatthegroundisfirmandnot
slippery.

Checkthatthewheelsonthedownhillside
ofthevehiclearenotlikelytodropinto
anydepressionsinthegroundandthatthe
uphillwheelswillnotrunoverrocks,tree
roots,orsimilarobstaclesthatcould
suddenlyincreasetheangleoftilt.

Ensurethatpassengerweightisevenly
distributed,thatallroofrackluggageis
removedandthatallotherluggageis
properlysecuredandstowedaslowas
possible.Alwaysremember;anysudden
movementoftheloadcouldcausethe
vehicletooverturn.
Rearseatpassengersshouldsitonthe
uphillsideofthevehicleor,inextreme
conditions,shouldvacatethevehicleuntil
theslopinggroundhasbeensafely
negotiated.
