Airbag SRS
Toensurecorrectdeploymentoftheairbags,
itisessentialthatobstructionsarenotallowed
tointervenebetweenanairbagandthe
occupant.Thefollowingareexamplesofthe
typeofobstructionsthatcouldeither,impede
correctoperationoftheairbags,orjeopardise
personalsafetyintheeventofanairbag
deployment:

Intheeventofacollision,theairbagcontrol
unitmonitorstherateofdecelerationinduced
bythecollisiontodeterminewhetherthe
airbagsshouldbedeployed.
Inthecaseofaseverefrontalcollision,both
frontairbagswillbedeployed.Inthecaseofa
severesidecollision,onlytheairbagonthe
impactsideofthevehiclewillinflate.
However,theremayalsobeimpactconditions
wherebyonesideandbothfrontairbags
deployatthesametime,orwherefrontand
sideairbagsrespondseparatelyasaresultof
asecondaryimpactoccurringaftertheinitial
collisionhastakenplace.

frontseat(inparticular,beawarethatseat
coversapprovedforusewithRangeRover
vehiclespriortotheintroductionofside
airbagswillNOTbesuitableforvehicles
